A team of experienced paramedics with strong community links deliver the Acute Visiting Service (AVS) and provide our most vulnerable patients with care at home. By managing the acute conditions of the housebound, the AVS team reduces emergency admissions to hospital, improves patient access to GPs in practice by undertaking visits the patient’s home, and supports quicker referral to hospital as needed.
